The Solar-Powered Home Project is an initiative aimed at transforming a traditional residential property into an energy-efficient and sustainable home by integrating solar power systems. This project embodies our commitment to reducing carbon emissions, decreasing energy bills, and promoting renewable energy adoption in residential settings. Through this initiative, we aim to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of solar energy for homeowners while contributing to a greener and more sustainable future. Introduction
In 2022, Arboloom, a spin-off from Creaholic, attended the prestigious Impact GSTAAD Impact Circle Expo. This event was an opportunity to present our innovative wood veneer cups designed to replace traditional paper and plastic packaging. As a company committed to creating sustainable, circular solutions, participating in the Expo allowed us to connect with like-minded innovators and leaders focused on addressing the global sustainability challenges.

Industry Challenge
The packaging industry has long relied on non-recyclable materials like plastic and paper, leading to significant environmental pollution. While global efforts to reduce plastic usage are growing, sustainable and scalable alternatives are still scarce. This is where Arboloom’s solution of using wood veneer for packaging stands out, offering a truly sustainable alternative that aligns with the principles of a circular economy.
Our Challenge
Before the Expo, our primary challenge was gaining widespread recognition and traction for our innovative products. We needed a platform that would allow us to reach potential partners, customers, and investors interested in environmental solutions. The Impact GSTAAD Expo offered just that.
Strategy
At the Impact Circle Expo, Arboloom set up an interactive booth that showcased our wood veneer cups, highlighting their environmental benefits and practical applications. We focused on engaging with key stakeholders, including potential clients and partners from industries like food & beverage and event management. Through live product demonstrations and presentations, we demonstrated how our cups can replace disposable packaging, leading to significant reductions in waste and carbon footprint.
Engagements
During the Expo, we had the opportunity to connect with numerous companies and sustainability leaders. This included discussions with event organizers and venue managers interested in implementing sustainable practices for large-scale events. The feedback we received from these conversations was overwhelmingly positive, and it helped us build meaningful relationships that continue to benefit Arboloom’s growth.
Success Metrics
Arboloom’s participation at the Impact GSTAAD Expo resulted in several new business opportunities and collaborations. We formed initial partnerships with event organizers and major venues looking for sustainable solutions. Additionally, we expanded our network within the sustainability community, opening doors for future collaborations and product developments. As a result of our presence, we saw a notable increase in inquiries and visibility for our brand.
Sustainability Impact
Through our engagement at the Expo, we successfully communicated the environmental benefits of switching to our wood veneer cups. This event alone provided a platform to amplify our mission of reducing plastic and paper waste. By replacing traditional packaging with sustainable alternatives, we can significantly reduce deforestation and minimize plastic pollution, contributing to a healthier planet.
"Arboloom’s innovative approach to sustainable packaging truly stood out at the Expo. Their product not only meets a critical environmental need but also demonstrates the power of design and functionality. We were impressed by the potential impact of their wood veneer cups on reducing waste at large events."
